The primary of the project is gathering the associate gases being flared from Bangestan oil layer in seven production units in the southern oil fields , its comprises of tie-ins at existing production units and the installation of new gas compressor stations at Ahwaz 1,2 & 3 , Marun 3 , Kupal , Mansuri and Ab-Teymur to collect associate gas.
Gas is transported by a network of new pipelines to the Gas Treating Plant , where it will be further treated with sweet gas , being transmitted by pipelines to the existing NGL 700/800 and Mahshahr Refinery.
Following being refined , The products are exported to the markets as the end product.
Around 500'000 tons of Propane , Butane & Pentane gases are extracted annually in Mahshahr Refinery.
The Acid gas streams from the sweetening unit are transmitted via a 96 km pipeline to Razi Petrochemical Plant in Badar Imam.
All necessary work including basic design review , detail design , procurement of project material , construction & commissioning are included.
All in all , the current configuration involves eight dehydration and one sweetening units , 280 km of pipelines for transmission of gas and 95 km of high voltage power transmission lines.
This national and massive project is on turn-key basis , and within the framework of buy-back was conceded to IRITEC-IRASCO Consortium whose long time experiences in industrial projects have enabled them to be one loading partners in turn-key projects . The projects is financed by Naftiran Company (NIKO).
Establishing this projects , not only prevents the wasting of national resources , but also is environmentally friendly and stop burning in vain the gases in Ahwaz region .
