Within Ahwaz steel complex expansion plan, it was
decided to add one direct reduction module for increasing the sponge iron production
capacity by 800,000 tpy.
The
project named "Zam Zam D. R. Project" is carried out by
IRITEC and commissioned. Successfully in Jan. 2002.
The total weight of equipment adds up 7800 tons and to maximize the
utilization of existing facilities, it is adjacent to existing modules.
